Megan is the owner of Mind Body Beauty and a cosmetologist of 16 years. She knew it was her passion at only 15 years old. She attended cosmetology school in Cumberland MD and has since taken numerous educational classes and trainings to further her expertise and knowledge in this industry in places such as Miami, Colorado Springs and has been trained by some educators from the UK who have worked on celebrities such as Paris Hilton. "I pride myself on lifting others up and enhancing their natural beauty to make them feel like the best versions of themselves." Megan has owned a salon for 7+ years but had a vision to take it to the next level and create a team! She wanted to add artists who are passionate about the profession like she is and wanted to offer the community this luxury so close to home by adding this unique business to her fellow small businesses here in Fort Ashby, WV.

Meet Michele! She would describe herself as highly experienced, versatile, creative with a love for the outdoors. 35 years of experience has given Michele a deep understanding of various hair techniques and styles. She specializes in perms, hair extensions, hair color, highlighting, curly hair, layering, and special occasion hair.

Whether it's a wedding, prom, or any other milestone event, she can design elegant updos, lasting curls, and intricate braids to make their clients feel confident & stunning on their special day.

Above all, Michele cherishes spending time with her 5 grandchildren. She loves creating memories with her family and has a passion for DIY projects.

Michele brings a unique blend of expertise, creativity, and warmth to their hairstyling profession, ensuring that each client receives exceptional and personalized service.

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Hello, my name is Kelsey Uhl and I am a licensed massage therapist. I received my training at Allegany College of Maryland, graduated in Spring of 23'. My goal is to always provide a stress free, relaxing, calm environment. I focus on Swedish and deep tissue massage and am looking to add to that in the future. When I'm not at work you can find me spending quality time with my dogs.

ESTHETICIAN

Katie recently made the move from Winchester, VA to our beautiful state of West Virginia. She attended cosmetology school in Winchester VA in 2011. She has 12+ years in the industry! She started out in the hair world but soon fell in love with Esthetics. She specializes in waxing, facials, advanced facial treatments and makeup. She loves learning new skills and services to provide her clients with a vast selection of ways to look and feel their best. When she’s not working she is usually with her boyfriend working on their new home.

Hello! My name is Nia Smith, I have a passion for all things skin care, lash extensions, and waxing! My goal is to make you feel beautiful in your own skin. I graduated from Morgantown Beauty College in 2023, as a licensed Esthetician. I am from the Fort Ashby area, where I enjoy spending time with my husband, our dog Bunny, family & friends. When I am not at work, I enjoy working on my fitness goals. I want every client to walk out feeling satisfied and comfortable after every service with me!

NAIL TECHNICIAN

My name is Kiara and I graduated from Frankfort High school in 2022. I've always had a fascination for the beauty industry. During my junior and senior year I went to the Mineral Co. Technical Center taking their cosmetology courses to start gaining hours towards beauty school. I quickly realized hair wasn’t for me.

At that time, I had to then leave the program due to a medical emergency. Due to being out of school for a month I couldn’t go back to the program. I felt lost after that with my career. I knew I loved this industry but I just didn’t know where I fit in. That’s when I heard about the nail technician courses at ACM. I gave it a shot and I quickly fell in love with doing nails! I love offering nail art and feel it is my specialty!

When I’m not at the salon I’m usually working one of my many other jobs (but this one’s my favorite). And when I’m not working I like to read, go on walks, play video games, or spend time with my family.

NAIL TECHNICIAN / STYLIST ASSISTANT

Tori is a licensed cosmetologist who attended the Cutting Edge School of Hair Design in Petersburg, WV. She will be a Level 1 Nail Tech and an Associate in hair services. Nails are her specialty, and she enjoys the creativity she can display through nail art. Along with nails, she loves creating the perfect updo or hairstyle for any occasion! Outside of her chosen career path, Tori is an adventurous soul who finds joy in riding horses, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and beloved dog. Her passion for exploring the world and experiencing nature keeps her constantly seeking new experiences and memories. Tori hopes all of her clients walk out of the salon feeling confident because of the services she could provide for them!

Meet Amie. She has 7+ years experience as a guest service expert. When Amie isn't in the salon, she can be found doing outdoor activities with her husband and children. Amie is a native to Hampshire County and loves working in the salon/spa atmosphere and can't wait to greet you at your next visit.

Meet Danielle! You’ll be greeted by Danielle most evenings at the front desk. When Danielle isn’t at the salon she runs her own small bakery business with goals of expanding in the next few years. Danielle graduated from ACM’s Culinary Arts program in 2017 and has worked as a pastry chef in Pittsburgh for the last 7 years. She left the city life to come back to her small-town roots to live a slower, more peaceful life close to family, her boyfriend, & friends. "Mind, Body , & Beauty has been the perfect job for me while I pursue my goals. I have learned so much from this job that I’m confident will help my future. I love making relationships with clients beyond the salon and being a part of this small but supportive community.” She enjoys creating graphics and videos for our social media and window painting.
