Megan is the owner of Mind Body Beauty and a cosmetologist of 16 years. She knew it was her passion at only 15 years old. She attended cosmetology school in Cumberland MD and has since taken numerous educational classes and trainings to further her expertise and knowledge in this industry in places such as Miami, Colorado Springs and has been trained by some educators from the UK who have worked on celebrities such as Paris Hilton. "I pride myself on lifting others up and enhancing their natural beauty to make them feel like the best versions of themselves." Megan has owned a salon for 7+ years but had a vision to take it to the next level and create a team! She wanted to add artists who are passionate about the profession like she is and wanted to offer the community this luxury so close to home by adding this unique business to her fellow small businesses here in Fort Ashby, WV.

COSMETOLOGIST/ MICROBLADING ARTIST

Kaleena brings 13+ years experience in the beauty industry here to Mind Body Beauty, where she specializes in blondes, color corrections and microblading. She is a mother of 17 year old twin boys, a girlfriend and fitness and nutrition lover. If she's not at work you can catch her by the pool or working out. She starts her days with yoga in the mornings. "It gets me ready for the day ahead”, she states. She loves strength training, running, walking and cycling. "I love meeting new people! You learn something new from everyone you meet. I truly love my clients and what I do. Color is my passion, the feeling of making someone feel confident is the best feeling for me! I love my clients, my space and my job here at Mind Body Beauty.

ESTHETICS

Katie recently made the move from Winchester, VA to our beautiful state of West Virginia. She attended cosmetology school in Winchester VA in 2011. She has 12+ years in the industry! She started out in the hair world but soon fell in love with Esthetics. She specializes in waxing, facials, advanced facial treatments and makeup. She loves learning new skills and services to provide her clients with a vast selection of ways to look and feel their best. When she’s not working she is usually with her boyfriend working on their new home.

NAIL TECHNICIAN

My name is Kiara and I graduated from Frankfort High school in 2022. I've always had a fascination for the beauty industry and throughout high school I thought I wanted to go to beauty school. During my junior and senior year of school I went to the Mineral County Technical Center to take their cosmetology

courses and start gaining hours towards beauty school. I quickly realized hair just wasn’t for me.

While in that program I had to leave due to a medical emergency. I was out of school for a month and couldn’t go back to the program at that point. I felt kind of lost after that about what I wanted to do with my career, I knew I loved this industry but I just didn’t know where I fit into it. That’s when I heard about the nail technician courses at ACM. I thought I would try it out to see if I liked it and after I started I quickly fell in love with doing nails. I love offering nail art and feel it is my specialty!

When I’m not at the salon I’m usually working one of my many other jobs (but this one’s my favorite). And when I’m not working I like to read, go on walks, play video games, or spend time with my family.

Sharon is an outdoor, nature loving, mother of two teenage daughters. She graduated from Frostburg State University, with a BFA in Art&Design. "I was drawn to the aesthetic Megan created in her salon and boutique and knew I wanted to be a part of it!". Sharon enjoys composing graphics for the Mind Body Beauty social media accounts and providing welcoming and pleasant environment for our clients.

Meet Amie. She has 7+ years experience as a guest service expert. When Amie isn't in the salon, she can be found doing outdoor activities with her husband and children. Amie is a native to Hampshire County and loves working in the salon/spa atmosphere and can't wait to greet you at your next visit.

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Hello, my name is Kelsey Uhl and I am a licensed massage therapist. I received my training at Allegany College of Maryland, graduated in Spring of 23'. My goal is to always provide a stress free, relaxing, calm environment.

Kelsey focuses on Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal and hot stone massage but is excited to continue to grow her skills with other specialty massage techniques! When Kelsey isn't in the salon you can find her spending quality time with her dogs.

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Hello, I'm Jenna and I have been in the Therapeutic Massage profession for over 17 years. 8.5 of those I spent working at the spa of the beautiful Omni Bedford Springs Resort. I started the Massage Therapy program at ACM in 2007, and graduated in May of 2009. Since then I have had several additional trainings, some of those include Thai Herbal Poultice, Young Livings Raindrop Technique and Pre-natal/ Postpartum Massage. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children.

I graduated from Morgantown Beauty College in 2023, as a licensed Esthetician. I am from the Fort Ashby area, where I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
